Found a Browning Hi-Power at a ghetto ass pawn shop of all places. Serial number puts it as a 1958 production. Thinking of picking it up as a base piece for a nice custom build for the wifey (or is that just my justification for another pistol for me?). Rifling looks good, trigger breaks cleanly, finish is what you'd expect on a 50 year old gun. Talked them down from $799 to $450. Should I or shouldn't I? :dunno:

Do it hi-power parts are easy to come by plus there are tons of gun smiths that can work on them if needed

Sounds like a good price, I love my FN Hi-Power, if I were you I would buy it and shoot it some and then see if you wanted to modify it.

Tell him the barrel is pitted and you'll have to replace it. If he started at 799 he's either a crook or has no idea what its worth.
