I probably wouldn't buy one myself, but my buddy is getting both me and his brother one for Christmas, the 45 I believe. What's your experience?

Better than the Jennings/lorcin/jemenez/Ravin and all that other shit.

Prepare to be laughed at though by anyone who even has a casual interest in firearms. Personally, I think you could likely do better.

lol, I certainly won't be showing it off in this forum.
lol this isn't the first time I've heard that. It is afterall free, I might tell him to buy us a couple of mediocre used shotguns instead.

tell him to get you a gift certificate toward the purchase of a gun or something, then you can put in some of you cash and get a decent gun.

to add the dissenting opinion, i've read numerous reviews that cite them as being very good for the $, it just takes a little getting used to because of the different action.

No kidding... I asked for all kinds of gun related stuff for Christmas, but will get absolutely nothing of the kind...

I'd gladly accept a Hi Point if someone gave it to me for FREE. They don't blow up and maim their users do they??

    This.

I have a C9 and, while it looks like a piece of shit, is as heavy as a brick, its action is strange, has no slide release, shitty build quality, shit trigger, and terrible ergonomics, i've NEVER had it fail to fire. :dunno:

That being said, I would NOT trust my life to that gun. That's why I also have two Glocks.:fawk:
