Just got back from the range today. I picked up a used 995 last week and decided to just swing by the range and make sure it worked before I started tinkering with it.

These things are just too fun and way too accurate for the price.
I had the guys at the range with the hopped up AR15s, FN's and AKs lining up to try it out.

I brought just 1 box of ammo to make sure it functioned properly but people were running back to the local hardware store down the road and cleaned them out of 9mm just to shoot it. This thing ate EVERYTHING from crap Wolf ammo to Corbon and Hydrashoks (told you they literally cleaned out the store) and not one problem after probably 1000 rounds. 25yards, 50yards, 100 yards, nothing was safe.

I have to admit it was the most fun I've had at the range in quite awhile and more than one person was impressed enough to go looking to buy one after the day was done.

I ended up making a bunch of new friends and what started out as a quick stop ended up as an 8 hour day where we all tried each other's guns out from 22's to AR's, AK's Glocks, XDs, HK USP, SKS's (which proved they are accurate at 200yards btw) a Nagant, an Enfield and one Barrett 50.

We had all kinds of crap to shoot too. People were bringing water bottles, appliances, watermelons, concrete bricks, tons of empty liquer bottles and my paintballs and golfballs (Paintballs go POOF when hit)

BTW, the other suprise was a Saiga 308 with a russian sidemount scope that was dead on at 300 yards.

They look like a ton of fun.

I kind of think they are ugly though:hs: Wasn't there a cx4-like stock that someone made for it though? I think the cx4 looks decent :dunno:

I might have to take some paintballs to the range next time. We're taking: two satellite recievers, the dish, an old VCR, and two furby's. We changed who supplies the shit actually worth watching.

It took me a month to find one. They are all backordered around here but I found this one in a pawnshop in Ohio.

I keep finding them for around $200. If I can find one for around $100-$150 I'll probably pick it up.

I found mine for $100. Stripped it, polished the feedramp and gunkoted the heatshield and receiver cover and that was that.

Those things kick ass. I saw one at a gunshop for $120 a month or so ago. I was so tempted to get it, but I didn't know if that was a good price. :sad2:

Where'd you get the ATI stock from and how much was it? The cheapest I could find it was ~$60.

ask and yee shall receive. I have a blackbelt in googlefu.

    http://www.midsouthshooterssupply.com/item.asp?sku=00019HIP9000

You will have to wait til they get the next shipment in. Last shipment was cleaned out within days.

prices vary all over the net ranging from 47 to as high as 80 for some places. Just takes some searching.

yep, I like both. The barska goes on the 995, the BSA goes on the 10/22. Both are bright enough for high noon in the desert sun and both work just fine. Another Barska product that holds up to abuse. :) damn those cheap ass optics!

our range backs up to the city dump so every month they come over and clean the range. Last week looked like a garage sale at a terrorist camp.
