    :hsugh: I feel so dirty....

I am annoyed though.. it doesnt like my Dell 30" so I can only run 1280 x 800 for resolution :wtc: :wtc:

I have to get a second monitor for this thing

Not many will run a 30" display with 2560x1600 resolution. You need dual DVI-D to do it.

MAC > PC. I switched a few weeks ago after using Windows since '97 and haven't looked back.

The MacMini can support up to 1900+ resolution but because of the way the Dell 30" works it can only do 1280x800 through one DVI link.

You don't need windows for your apps.

Parallels can run your windows apps in their own windows. Crossover office can run many windows apps NATIVELY without running windows in OSX.

As ugly as you think 1280 x 800 is, any other resolution other than native 2560 x 1600 is going to look like utter ass in comparison. 1280 is psuedo-native in that it's 1/2 of 2560, so each software pixel is represented by 4 LCD pixels. At any other resolution you're gonna get the godawful blurring you get when you zoom in with fn-ctrl-scroll.

This should teach you to not get a beast of an LCD monitor when you don't have the proper hardware to back it up.

    Just giving you crap man....
I want a mini myself to replace my windows box, but like LOLZILLA said, they need to come out with the c2d mini before I make my jump. it's a good system, but just really simple :o

but to help you understand about the mac mini...it's the cheapest and lowest mac that apple makes/sells.

    for desktop you got:
mac mini > imac > mac pro

    laptop:
    macbook > macbook pro

    I love my C2D Mac Mini :)

I've had two Mini's actually, a G4 1.42GHz and now the C2D (Custom). I love the machines, small, quiet, and quite speedy for most things. I've done some video editing on it as well, and plan to use it for that in the future. For MPEG stuff, the video card isn't horrid, hahaha.

    macbook < macbook pro?
