Has anyone edited Hi-deff video on a imac flat panel.
    I am considering getting the
Sony Handycam HDR-HC1 and wanted to know if it is possible. My puter is the 1.25 G4.
Any help or info would be great, thanks.

I'm assuming it would be okay just because in iLife '06, the movie editing app is called iMovie HD. As far as whether or not your hardware would support it, I guess you'd be okay if you upgraded your ram to as much as your Mac could handle.

Your camera uses the same tapes and stores the same amount of data as standard def dv tapes so yes, your imac should be able to handle it as long as you have a prgram that can handle hdv footage.

I have a imac G4 so im really not shure. I do have Final Cut Pro HD.
I have tried to play clips of Hi-deff video from a sony Z1 and
it does not work. I am using QT version 7 to view the clips. So far no luck.
The codex is working but the vid comes out VERY choppy and plays
several seconds than cuts out for 5 sec, than it totally quits.

So im not shure if its my computer that can't handel the footage or its someting else.
    ?????

    Here is a sample clip...
