    Here's my newish blog: http://32countiesphoto.myfotojournal.com/

How do I get rid of the 'myfotojournal.com' part of this, and just have it go to 32countiesphoto.com/blog or blog.32countiesphoto.com or something like that?

I don't really wanna drum up myfotojournal here, I want my traffic to stay within my name/site...

Oh, and thoughts on the layout of the blog? I gotta get some content up...

I think it looks good. Simple is good, IMO. I just redid my blog with a pretty simple layout (tofurious) as well. I'm gonna try to keep it more up to date. We'll see how that goes.

Not sure about the other part of your question regarding the .com's.

    your blog?

Why aren't we all networked on here? We should fix that.

you might be able to mask it. not sure if you can mask a sub directory though.

i used to mask domain names that were hosted elsewhere. who is 32countiesphoto hosted with?

what if you bought "32countiesphotoblog.com" and masked it to your blog? then the URL would always say 32countiesphotoblog.com

    I host with dreamhost.

If I mask it, is that just a re-direct? Will they ever see .fotojournal.com?

Is there an easy way to move it or just setup a blog on my site? Would that be easier?

The more I think about this, the more I want to keep everything on my site, and not just hanging around on 3rd party sites..

Although fotojournal is fucking badass, and I LOVE their interface...

well it's been a while since i did masking, but what i remember was the address bar always showed the domain. if people moused over a link or right-clicked properties for a pic, they could see the true URL

it's a $10 test to see if you like it. adopting that blog look on your own site would be a lot more time consuming.

jared if u want, i can mask one of my domains to go to your blog so you can see. i have like 10 domains i own, but don't use.

    Hey Jared :wavey:

Blog looks good, but make sure to upload a thumbnail for each post, that way other fotojournal peeps see it too.. I get about 300 hits a month just from other bloggers clicking the thumbnail :h5:

buy a domain you want. you can't use the current 32countiesphoto.com. like i said maybe 32countiesblog or 32countiesphotoblog.com

then you can forward it with masking in the domain control

*you may want to call your host and see if you can mask a subdomain. i'm not sure if you can. then you could make blog.32countiesphoto.com. i don't know if you can mask a subdomain though.

bingo! if dreamhost is partners with wordpress ( which most host are )

install wordpress, it will ask you to a word ( type blog ) and it will create a folder in your directory
