I'm gonna go with it, but i'll be sure to tell you how right you were promptly

No, it wasn't about your original question, it was your comment about cutting holes in your case.

when did i say ANYTHING about this case being quality? How "quality" does something have to be just to sit there? I'm not gonna move it...ever, nothing is going to be on top of it....why pay more when you don't need to?

Well aside from the fact that the thin stamped steel pieces will cut you up when you're working inside, it won't fit together properly, it'll rattle and vibrate, and the power supply will burn out, nothing. Its perfectly fine.

this is how I know that you have NO CLUE what you're doing. It matters... It definitely matters.

maybe i wasn't very clear. I know NOTHING about computers, but i know ALOT about working w/ metal and wood. That's my hobby. I have access to all the tools needed to perfectly cut through the case (that is assuming that the front would come off, i'm not sure i could do it w/ the sides still attached). If it runs too hot, i'll use this case for my server and get a new one for this computer.

I think i'm buying a new powersuply too, so hopefully that won't be an issue.

Since you know nothing about computers, you'd just have to go to a store and look at a cheap case and a nicer case. Nice cases are thicker, have rolled edges, and the pieces actually line up so you don't have to figure out out to get a screw through two holes that are offset by .5mm. Quality is something you'll only know when you see it. And it makes building it so much easier.

I could write a book on why the case can be the MOST important piece of a system. I seriously could. If you work with metal, then just go WORK with that case. It's shit. Now go try a LianLi, Silverstone, or similar HIGH-GRADE (antec is NOT high-grade... it's mid-range) and you'll see the difference! Antec is the compromise for people that don't want shit, want a working system, but don't wanna spend the bones for a nice case.

As for PSU, again, I could write a book on what makes one PSU better than the other. If nothing else, go HOLD both... You'll instantly feel the difference. Look inside both, and you will SEE the difference. Without going into the technical side of things, that should convince you.

Get the fuck OFF of watts. WATTS MEAN NOTHING!!! 500W is NOTHING!!! I will take a 350W Sparkle, or a 365W Enermax over a 500W Ultra! Wattage means ~nothing~.
