    • [*]2.4 GHz Intel 2 Core Duo processor with 4 MB shared L2 Cache bus Speed 800 MHz

      [*]200 GB Serial ATA/100 hard drive; slot-load 4x
      [*]Supper drive DVD ROM
      [*]GeForce 8600 GT
[*]One FireWire 400, two USB 2.0 ports, and ExpressCard/34 slot; no FireWire 800 slots
      [*]Built-in 10/100/1000BASE-T (Gigabit); built-in 54 Mbps AirPort Extreme (802.11g); built-in Bluetooth 2.0+EDR
      [*]15.4-inch TFT non-glossy widescreen display with 1440 x 900 resolution

comes with fresh install of OSX 10.5, and all software that came with the computer no DVD's included

My only :squint: is why the fuck is there no firewire 800 slot! And why the fuck are there no dvd's for the software? Seller is reputable with almost 1000 feedback.

    I paid $1500.

it doesnt come with dvd's because they are probably not licensed versions. as far as the display, the matte displays are preferred by most professional users.

They didn't make a 2.4 C2D without FireWire 800. Also, AirPort Extreme should be 802.11a/b/g/n. And Apple Care should be until 2010. If it really is missing FireWire 800, and has AirPort Extreme G, then it's not a 2.4.

There have to be plenty of things wrong with that posting.

Also, there are no DVD's for it because when he got it, it had Tiger on it, and he had another copy of Leopard that he installed but doesn't want to give you his copy.

The first generation MacBook Pros did not have FW800 FWIC. A 2.4 without FW800 does not compute.

Applecare till 05/2009. Look familiar user levidiy on ebay?:wavey: Mine does have firewire 800 and wireless a/b/g/n. It said it was used for 3-4 months. When I got it it was really dirty and the screen had finger prints everywhere but everything cleaned up perfectly and it looks brand new. I couldn't be happier. I may have paid just a bit much but it was everything I wanted and in my budget.

$1700 is not bad for that.. maybe $50-$100 too much but sounds like a good deal to me. Could use a bit more ram maybe

What are you doing about the no dvd issue? Downloads?

    Hello,

My name is Amy and I am now in Manchester, United Kingdom.
The laptop is still available and I hope you are still interested.
This Macbook Pro was ordered brand new directly from Apple on March 8, 2008. The laptop works perfectly and it has never had any problems. Included in the $600 price is everything (right down to the original box that FedEx shipped it in) with the order from Apple (manual, cleaning cloth, etc). The laptop has almost 3 years AppleCare coverage until March 2011.
One important thing is that the laptop is a US version so the software is for the US and also it doesn't need a power converter.
I have attached some pics with the laptop to this e-mail so you can see the condition of the laptop, and I hope we can work out a deal.
Just to make sure we are on the same page, I am selling the 15" MacBook Pro, with 2.4Ghz Core 2 Duo, 4 Gb memory, 200 Gb HD for $600 USD.
Please get back to me and let me know if you like the laptop and if you are interested in buying it.

    Thanks,
    Amy

Just bought 4GB from newegg for ~$45 after rebate.

I *cough* found a copy of leopard online. This is my first mac so I don't know how the license aspect works but at least I have a copy if needed.
