I think it's AF Form 1975 that he should be getting signed off by a PTL or someone from the gym to verify his working out. Keep on his ass with that stuff, make him show it to you every week.

Now for the retape, is it for the PT test?

my last 3 months in the Air Force was spent as an NCO working in our base Correctional Custody. It was a brand new trial at the time, and we put anyone that was sent there through 30 days of basic training style discipline - in addition to their normal working duties.

Morning roust out of the bunk, march to PT field, PT for an hour, march back for shave/shower/inspection, march to chow hall, and then we turned them over to their supervisors for the day. At the end of their 8 hour shift, we did the same thing in reverse.

The premise was that if they made it through 30 days of CC, whatever relatively minor offense they did that got them sent there would be forgiven and they would be returned to regular status. If they fucked up while we had them, they received a dishonorable discharge.

We had a one guy that was overweight and refusing to do anything about it. He made it through, and dropped over 30 pounds in the process. Another guy was sent to us for refusing to shower. The guy's sleeves were caked from the elbow down to the cuff with boogers from where he kept wiping his nose (which was constantly running). He got the DD for being an extremely disgusting excuse for a human. :ugh:

Anyway ... do they have anything like that now? If so, send fatty their way. :bigthumb:

    Not "personal personal"

Court, tickets, meeting with college reps, medical (of course), needing to get your tires changed, etc.,

Yes, people have personal errands to run that can't happen during duty hours, the Air Force understands this and doesn't let people waste leave time for this. Morale booster? I think so.

I loved it. It was completely voluntary. If they wanted, they could walk out at any time. But if they did, they knew the paperwork for DD would be filed the next day - no counseling, no second chance, no "I've calmed now and want to continue with the program."

Dunno if the Air Force still has it or not. Correctional Custody, 1983, RAF Bentwaters, UK. :bigthumb:

the AF form 1975's --- yup, and they are being used. I'm the guy they're turned into. The new First Sgt is taking care of a lot of these folks.

As for skipping out, I'm letting his direct supervisor know (who was mini-tdy this week) and to handle him appropriately should it happen. I'll give people one small messup. There was no harm done, and he was scared as hell when he was in my office. Now, if he does it again there will be paperwork :rl:

it wasnt specified that he had appointments, thats understandable (although enough appointments to take up an entire day is ludicrous and still isnt allowed here) he just said personal matters...

here if you have a mid morning appointment you have to come in and muster early and then leave, and then come back after lunch, and the same sort of thing applys for other appts

Lt, I told you how to fix this. Use your PTL influence and set up a fat boy program.

Our guys that fail the PT test, (one guy even passed, but volunteered for it) go to the gym accompanied by a PTL EVERY MORNING. They get taped every day, and weighed every day. Their PT is more strenuous than the regular units. Ours is pretty strenuous, but not too bad.

It works, out of the 12 or so people who were in it to begin with, only one is left, and he is hampered by his "profile".
BTW none of them were kicked out, they all conformed to standards.

"(although enough appointments to take up an entire day is ludicrous and still isnt allowed here) "

    Oh lol

I could pull that off easily with medical appointments...I had no choice really, but scheduling them at the right times was my choice.

when we schedule appointments here we have to go way ahead and everyone has to know, and if you end up having enough stuff to take up a whole day and it slipped by them, youll be in trouble for it when you come the next day heh

We have a fatboy program. The subject of the post is in it. Prior to the new squadron/CC the program lacked the teeth. now it has teeth and people are starting to pay attention. :bigthumb: a month from now everything will be different.
