some guy in my town is selling an 86 cj7 renegade for $1500obo...

6cyl, 4speed manual, 92k on it. black. origional hard & soft tops. new exhaust, brakes, radiator, tires, plugs, wires.
he only used it as a summer vehice. but i was looking for a jeep or something for the winters..

    $1500obo seems pretty good...... :eek3:

hard to go wrong for that price... I have seen non-running CJs go for 2000.

check for rust.. if you're really serious .. check diff, t-case, and tranny lube. The 258 straight six is a pretty decent engine, when taken care of. Sounds like a good deal.. pics?

perhaps you should look into how a CJ would be in the winter compared to your car before you buy it as well :o

Sounds like a good deal Misery... Remember a Jeep is a marriage...there are good times, and then there are bad times (read breakage) I hope you know how to spin a wrench. :hs:
