I was talking to one of the sergeants in my class and he was telling me about some program they have where if you are enlisted and your selected...you get E-5 pay to finish college and then go to OTS

This sounds like something I would really like to do...I've only got about a year left if I go full time and coming out of DLI i feel like id have a pretty solid chance of getting selected

What is this program called though?

you have at least a 3.0 and a technical degree? If so, PM me. My buddy did this (he had mechanical engineering, gpa 3.5+) and I can get whatever details you want.

I know what you're talking about. This one SSgt did that, went back home and went to University of Maryland, got his degree. Came back to work for a few months until OTS.
Palace Chase? :mamoru:No, that's not it.

only thing that sucks about that one is you have to have completed your first enlistment :hs:

I guess ill just stick to my original plan and just finish it on my own in the next 5 1/2 years. I just figured being an officer would give me an even better chance if i wanted to work for the cia afterwards

Being active duty and going to school full time can definitely be punishing sometimes. Just stick with it! I thought going to Iraq would kill my progress for sure but I've pulled in 15 credits since I've been here through college level testing. Where there's a will there's a way:bigthumb:

Im about to graduate from Army OCS, a lot of my fellow candidates are former AF NCO's that switched over to be Army Officers. The Army does indeed need Officers badly right now. If AFOTS doesnt pan out for you, you might wanna consider coming to OCS. Ft. Benning is a blast
