    Need advice-

I have some decent lenses for an old Minolta camera, MC mount. I want to buy a sony alpha a300, with the aim of buying an adaptor to use these lenses.

My question is: as long as I can set the aperture on the lens and am happy manually focusing will there be any foreseeable problem using the lenses?

This could also apply to, for example, using canon lenses on a nikon, or etc.

Will the camera the meter the light, even though its not a recognised lens?

Also, whats the general impressions of the a300 :hsd: my lenses are all f2.8, some zooms and wide angle.

    thanks in advance :x:

I thought my friend's alpha was a decent camera. I'd take my XTi over it though. I don't see why your current lenses wouldn't work but I wouldn't want to use them.
