But seriously, women are just about always complicated. I'm not sure it really means anything, it's maybe just one of those Womanese half-non-answers that they use when they don't know what the answer is or can't explain it properly :)

The most likely explanation is either that they have mental/emotional issues which drive men away, or they simply haven't run into any men who can hold their interest for very long.

It's an excuse. It's designed for you to blow through and say something like "Bullshit, that's the same old boring excuse I hear from every third woman. Do something complicated or novel and *maybe* I'll believe you. In the mean time, you owe me a drink for coming up with the LEAST original excuse to hang out with me that I have heard."

AKA, it's girl speak for "You're boring, challenge me."

It is their way of saying that, for whatever reason, they don't want you.

Maybe they just don't want a boyfriend and want to let the man down easily? This is a way of placing the "blame" on them and won't make the guy feel bad.

Some women really dont have their shit together and its not really an excuse to get out of anything. If they are "complicated" so you really want to spend the time trying to figure her out or have a girl that shoots a straight arrow because she has all her ducks in a row and is ready for a relationship. So that way you dont have to make threads like ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh my gf is so damn complicated HELP!

I don't think I've ever told a guy I'm "complicated" but I will come right out and say it if I don't have time for or particulary want a boyfriend and the guy is trying to convince me otherwise.

But then again I shoot straight from the hip unlike most girls ;)

I was assuming that the statement in question was the truth (that they don't have or want boyfriends), a dangerous assumption I know :hs: But I would agree with you otherwise.
