Someone tell me what we really need as far as space or whatever.
storage. some kind of repository for shit we want to d/l. how's the bandwidth?
I would assume the bandwidth will be a good amount considering the fact that the guy runs upshizzle
does it cost more to get more space, or do you just need to let him know how much we'll be likely to use / how much he should set aside for us? i think 300gb would be a good amount of space (i'm pretty sure we were over 200 on kingshit's before it went down, i know i uploaded ~80gb)
how secure is this one likely to be? i dont want to upload so much shit again just to have it taken down
I'd like to keep it a bit more limited than we were doing so it's less likely to be noticed. I don't think we'll have the same problem though.
seity graces us with her presenceand brings gifts of joy.
this weekend i will rip all my elfen lied DVDs to ISOs for the better of every member of A&M.
I think some of the staple/popular anime would be good: Akira, Ghost in the Shell (both movies and series perhaps), FLCL...
I don't want to just have shit sitting there Keeping so much on there had a lot to do with it getting cut
bb is a must. i will upload the usual hentais again
have ftp info where people can only upload, give to everyone
have ftp info where people can delete/move stuff, give to better members here
the more space the better
OT Oekaki BBS ftw
any chance it can some kind of auto download for weekly releases?
wiredout could download torrents with his old server. that would be fucking awesome to have set up.
in for another ftp to shut down
I don't know who runs the host, but torrentflux is an easy way to get shit shut down quickly by almost any.
That's actually not a bad idea actually.
Series that are completed will only be downloadable for 1 week. I'll be doing the deleting myself.
in I need some more anime/manga
requests for older stuff leave up for 1-2 weeks
recent stuff upload as it comes out, leave up for a few weeks after ending
Leave manga because files are usually smaller
Shared, dedicated, or colocated?
If it's either of the last two options, I wouldn't mind pitching in.
It's going to be shared. It'll be up within a month we're upgrading the site to better handle anime crews needs and making it secure. it's going to be coupled with a site that already has a lot of traffic and so it will go mostly unnoticed so hopefully it will alleviate the fear of it being taken down.
