    you guys know any air force bases close to Houston?? trying to see if i can catch some flights out there for free n shit from Cali

    Somewhere out there (Houston=home)
    i-45 (south east end of city) exit dixie farm road (left), go to highway3
    ellington field, im pretty sure its either closed now or is a reserve only base though

    Nothing near Houston. Unless it's a Air National Guard unit landing at Hobby or Intercontinental. :dunno:

    Ellington Air base is reserve base, which is also part of the city airport system. Your best bet would be San Antonio if you wanted a flight.

    i dont know what flys out of lackland but its mostly training here at randolph, T-6's and T-38's nobody flying anywhere but here

    2 lackland which is basic training and Randolph which is a Nav and fighter training base. I dont count brooks its closing down.

    kelly? i went there like years ago...and there were like 5 bases in that city...it was somewhat ridicules. i guess they closed all them.
