like an abusive husband, one of those stories that just kicks you in the box every night...grabs hold of you and shakes you until you're about to snap...and there's not a goddamned thing you can do about it until he throws you down the stairs again and you can scream in your head...."DAMN!!"

every week this show punches you in the face with something.

ok, so after the big joke...the main idea is that this shit is already done. it's not just thought in the head of some writer that has to pen his shitty story to a penciler so he can put it out in a few months. all of this is done, even the best friend of the assisant executive grip already knows what's going to happen because it's already been filmed.

WHY can't this be done for comics...why the fuck can't millar have wrote this thing and have mcniven done with the majority of the books before it came out?

fuck...every single one of us would take a six month leave of absence of a huge event just so we could have something every month...let alone every week like they've done with TV.

Well, if they could get it all done ahead of time, we wouldn't have comic books, just trade paperbacks. There is a tradition of selling them one issue at a time, and with that tradition is creating one issue at a time. Sure, sometimes there is a hangup in the process. Sometimes it's due to inefficiencies. But it beats the shit out of spending $18 in one shot to buy a story.

does it? think about that, if it wasn't for a comic book "tradition," what's so wrong about buying a full complete story? no other form of media really does this...save television shows, and they're usually all completed before hand.

I like the current system. Pushing issues back just makes me for giddy for a different wednesday and less for more current wednesday. Overall, energy within the system is conserved. I'm okay with that.

It just occurred to me...there was a wednesday this week, wasn't there? Maybe that's why I don't care for your point, void. I have no idea what is going on.
