He said that natural lifters looking to gain mass that do these 4-8 month cycles of bulking and cutting are basically taking 2 steps forward and 1.5 steps back. He said that instead of bulking dirty for 8 months and packing on 15lbs of fat, 10lbs of muscle then losing everything except 3-5lbs of lbm and some strength when you cut, a natural lifter should be bulking clean for 4-5 years, no cutting, eating slightly above maintenance and clean and healthy as a lifestyle. He says a natural BBer who does this will be far beyond the same person following the 'fast and dirty' bulk then the drastic cut cycle in terms of lean body mass, not to mention healthier. When you throw in drugs to speed up both the bulk and the cut, it becomes worthwhile to do it the other way, but for those of us not taking drugs, this is apparently how we should be thinking. Thoughts?
