The owner of our company saw the final framed print and said "I want one!"

Older version of pic in it's frame. Quick hand held pic with shitty work camera/shitty lens.

That's exactly the effect I wanted. However the boat is still quite sharp.

Not a fan of how you can see the darker halos around the ropes/poles/etc (i don't know boat talk).

The photo also doesn't really "pop" to me either. Maybe I expected better from you. :dunno:

I wanted a mystical, kind of dreamy look. Once you see it framed (the frame is the same color/texture wood as the ship) it really works.

16x10 for the framed one in the first post and another of the same size for my boss. I'll get myself a larger one.

You can dup a layer, gausblur it, then set it to multiply at 65% for the same effect. (for those wondering)

I don't think it looks that great against the darker ropes /poles though as someone else mentioned.

    cool boatthough

Is that the same effect they use for "model" shoots.

Nothing at all like your usual work, but again, that's what you were going for. :bigthumb: Looking forward to more! :x:

I wonder how this would look in one of those metallic prints, or even one of those large matte laminations... I'll bet fantastic.
