what a shame, could have been nice...

the r34 tails are alright, i wont hate on them, but that god damn cali conversion is horrible... i have not seen one integra EVER that looked good with it. and everytime i see it on a teg, it looks like they did a 5 minute job and it doesnt line up right or anything... the ONLY thing you can do to save that car is get a JDM front end for it... then i will give you a thumbs up... but until then, eww.

and all those little misc. vents on the fenders/rear bumpers, etc... they need to go as well. but the ones on the side skirts can stay...

I'm liking it more after looking it for a while. I don't like the rear bumper because the design is not as similar to the rest of the kit. Perhaps a CWest one would do....That front bumper is the best one I've seen for the Cali conversion....though I would like the headlight to be mounted flushed to the bumper....
Any ponies to back it up???

i understand that the hood is not shut... the thing that bugs me about the kit is well actually 3 things...

    1) like i already mentioned, all the misc. vents look too tacky, like you have to try to make it look fast, smooth and clean is much better...

    2) that whole front is just not my fav, the front fascia has way too many holes as it is, but the only thing that really KILLS the front bumper is the verry upper grill... the very top of the grill comes down a little bit, almost to a point, where as the rest of the holes on the front end are all very straight and parallel, that grill is angled, and it throws off the whole front, makes the front look as though it is not lined up as well as it really is...

    3) the lights... the lights themselves, i like. but they are placed wayyy too low on the bumper, need to move them up atleast an inch, maybe flush to the top of the front bumper, along with straightening that peice of the grill, that would clean up the front a lot...

    just my .02
but everything except the front and the front fenders i like...

    ====================================

here is a shitty quick chop to explain about the grill, and lights...

now to me, that doesnt look half bad...

    Well....it's perfect...for you.:ugh2:

I really don't like the "car identity crisis" trend.
It's an Integra fo God's Sake!

If you want something, that looks like something, that it isn't.....

    get a kit car.

Interesting.... so do you disagree with all those integra with the JDM conversion then?
I don't think there is an issue of "identity crisis". He is turning an ordinary car that everyone has into something that perhaps only he has. Of course then, as with all Hondas, the problem becomes how long until everyone is hooked up with the mods:squint:

And with the import scene as it is now, everyone is driving a "kit" car... So the point is moot:slap:

If it came from Honda, then it's still going to look like an Integra.
So, if that is your inference about JDM, that's all fine with me.

As for me, I treat my '02 Civic as it was meant to be, reliable daily transportation. No mod's, bone stock, nothing to worry about.
Yeah, it's boring as hell, but if I want to have fun, I have another vehicle (no funky body mod's so you can still tell what it is) that I play with.

The tail conversion turned out really sweet! The front is ok, but I think that if you went with the JDM front it would have looked better.

    -OR-

You could have used the cali or CL lights, but a different bumper. To me it looks too busy down low.

Overall the car is tite though. :bigthumb:
