I like to make outlandish plans for traveling across the country on a bus or in a car and try to figure out how I can make it possible in the future but then I never actually do it :o

As always music has been my source of sanity, whenever things are looking bleek.

I will echo the previous poster's response. Very few things are as powerful as hearing a song or an album that just completely meshes with your mind, body, and soul, and conjurs up so much emotion that all you can say is, "Wow."

I think the same can be said for a really good movie. Movies or TV transport me into a different world for a brief period of time, which helps get me out of my mental troubles.

spring: seeing how beautiful the newly bloomed wildflowers are up close.
summer: watching the lightning and afternoon storms roll across the horizon always ending in a beautiful sunset.
autumn: feeling the cool wind in my hair and listening to the trees rustling in it.
winter: stepping into the snow and watching it glisten in the sunlight.

A breakfast with banana macadamia nut pancakes, 2 eggs-over-easy, Maui portuguese sausage and hashbrowns.... then as lethargy sets in, sitting at a beautiful beach overlooking the clear blue Pacific, hearing nothing but the rhythmic lapping waves.

The only other thing that matches that euphoria is when I'm at a jam session with some of my best friends and once in a while there comes this perfect song that gets created on the spot and everything just works - everyone shifts to the same chords, everyone builds to the same momentum, & somehow all the parts just work into each other. We'd never remember it again after that...but for those few minutes I forget everything else in the world around me. It's just magic.

    EDIT
Visiting my best friends and their little kids...the kids will come running up as soon as they see me and yell "UNCLE!!" and give me this huge grin and hug.

These are moments by which my life is held up.

The first cup of coffee in the morning, while reading the newspaper in complete silence. I never want to talk to anyone in the mornings, so silence of any form is peace.

When I wake up at my normal workday wake up time, and realize that its my day off so I get to roll over and go back to bed.

The smell of freshly cut grass.

Watching the aurora borealis, it reminds me of when I was a kid. Absolutely beautiful.

    Smoking cigars outside.

That momentary feeling you get when you're not fully awake, but just on the brink of falling asleep.

The sound of rain hitting the roof.

    Needs more sunroof.

When I bought my last car 'has a sunroof' was one of my most important criteria. I ended up buying a 350z, no sunroof, because I got an amazing deal on it. I love the car to death, but sometimes I want to take a sawzall to the top of that thing.

Had a bad day today, and after visiting the barber i just hit the sack, and as i was laying down in bed i was looking outside my window to this most beautifull blue sky that we usually take for granted, and as i kept on watching i fell asleep in great content.

And normally that doesn't mean much to anyone, where i am however its always gray sky's, so since blue is my favorite color , and its more or less a rare event, it was quite delightfull indeed. :)

normally music can help prolong my sanity, but what really drives me is adrenaline rushes. Being in the mojave desert catching mojave greens or sidewinders really wakes me up or lets me feel free. Driving always does that too. Recently I've been good about keeping my adreneline releases to myselfso that I can only harm and kill me and not risk anyone elses life. Sex also helps, but that honestly takes too much effort and females always make it seem so much more important than it really is.

Recently I've been getting better though. I'm really letting the little things in life come out to me. It's really awesome too. I've been going through some rough and hard times in college and I let those little things really keep me happy, alive, and going. For example someone mailing me back a check I lost, Or when my roomate leaves in the morning to study and lets me sleep in, or when that car comes to a complete stop to let me j-walk, or when a teacher curves a grade because your a hard working. Little stuff like that makes me really happy to have given all I gave because even though you may think it doesnt come back in equal amounts it's nice to have your own little ray of light of kindness hit you too.

Having sex. Not making love... hot, sticky, to the point, angry sex. Just one of those things.
