Mostly in the order that they were taken.

1 day traveling Beartooth, 3 days in Yellowstone, 2.5 in Grand Teton, and 1.5 driving through wyoming. Went with my mom, it was kind of a late graduation present (from college). We were there pretty much there last week a lot of places were open. Cabins and roads were starting to be shut down.

Every wide angle shot was taken with a CP on it. Geyser spray eats filter coatings apparently. I filled 14GB with 2 days left, so I had to go back and delete pictures to continue taking more.

    Very nice.

Some images seem flat, like there isn't much depth to them. I do like the colors and vibrance though.

    Spectacular.

I'm always amazed that the incredible beauty of Yellowstone is actually a super volcano.

Yeah, I'm lazy and just linked them off my website (which I mostly use for online sports proofing). I need to find a new place to upload larger thumbnails.

What are your thoughts on the 40D? Would it be worth it to me to upgrade my digital rebel XT? What other lenses did you use for these pics?

Nice work. I like a lot of em.

What's your post processing? They all have a very similar look to em, I just can't place exactly what it is.

Perhaps the lightroom thing from the sticky?

Well I mostly just want a file dump where I can FTP the images in there and link to the open directory. I go through enough proprietary (sp?) online photo crap as it is.

If you shoot sports, or anything that moves a lot I'd highely recommend the 40D. Plus the viewfinder on the 40D will be much much larger than that on the XT (XT < 30D < 40D)

    I used the Tamron 17-50, 85L, 135L, and Sigma 100-300 f4.

Just processed in DPP. Some pictures have minor contrast enhancements, some have contrast reductions (shots of dense forrest). Saturation was bumped up for most, but not all. A CP filter stayed on the 17-50 the entire trip.

Most shots that were shot in complete shade have a strong WB shift to kill the blueish hue.

Come up with a decent watermark or typemark for yourself, PIF full res and that'll hang in my office in a bigazz frame :wavey:

Bison out of nowhere lol. I've never seen one in real life.

Those cloud shots are bad ass man, and the rest are not too shabby either. Good stuff, would read again.
