my friend has a problem with her self-esteem. i know its an individual effort, but i'd like to help out as much as i can.

she thinks she's ugly and fat (typical), although i and others don't think so.

    any recommendations?

:werd: And at first I usually bite, but after a while it just gets fucking tiring and I tell them that they're right.

:werd: Just say, "if that's what you think, do something about it. Do whatever it takes to make yourself feel better, but don't expect me to validate you or take pity."

constant reassurance tires out my patience pretty quickly. if someone has a genuine self esteem problem they have to take action to fix it themselves.
