I joined a gym and have been pretty good about going at least 5 days a week. My main goal is to lose some weight right now and to lower by blood pressure which is a little high last time I had it checked. Right now all I've really been doing consistently is riding a stationary bike either one of the recumbent ones or the standard ones. I usually do about 10 to 12 miles in about 45 minutes after a warm up. But its getting really boring and i'm starting to lose my motivation. My question is what else would be good for me to start doing as far as lifting some weights to mix things up a little bit. What would you suggest? Its been a really long time since I've really worked out at all so I don't really know what to do with myself. Also what kind of cardio could I add since the bike is getting old?
