I need to start lifting again. But trying to squeeze it into my schedule is making me nuts. Here's a typical 2 week period for me: Week 1: Sunday - Off Monday - Wake up @ 5:45, hour commute to be at work at 7:30, off @ 5:30, hour commute home, BJJ class from 7:30 to 9:00 (or 9:15, or 9:30, depending on what we're doing) Tuesday - 5:45 wakeup, work @ 7:30, off @ 5:30 Wednesday - Same as Monday Thursday - Same as Tuesday Friday - Wake up around 6, at work around 8, off around 4 Saturday - Off Week 2: Same as above, but with Friday off. The lifting program I did prior to Katrina that I liked and saw results with was 4 days of lifting (2 days back, chest, bis, tris/ 2 days legs/shoulders), 2 days of abs/cardio. I figure that dropping the abs/cardio is fine with the BJJ. I'd also like to get my wife to workout with me, but on a different weight training schedule, where she's lifting 3 times a week, different body parts for each workout. Roughly, I'm seeing my schedule being as follows: Sun: Off Mon: BJJ Tues: WO 1 (after work) Wed: BJJ Thur: WO2 (after work) Fri: WO1 (after work, or morning if it's a Friday I'm off work) Sat: WO2 (morning) Is lifting 3 days a week going to be an issue? I'd like to not do lower body work on a day prior to BJJ. And my wife would lift with me on Tue, Thur, and Sat, albeit on her own program.
