yeah, the 254.254 sounds like a weird ip for a router.

Are you sure you're connected to the router? I am assuming that you are using them right now, where it's NAT on the LAN side, but can't get to the admin interface.

What does ipconfig /all or netstat -rn show you? The default gateway should be the ip of your router.

Or you can use arp -a to see what interfaces you have an establishment with.

Once you get the ip, use that as the address to the web admin interface

    i.e. http://192.168.1.1

    -crontab -l

No, your interface was given an address via DHCP from the wireless router. After you unplugged it or whatever, you have to ipconfig /release; ipconfig /renew or reboot to get the new NAT from the siemens router.

One thing that is outstanding is your IP, 169.254.144.132. If that is the case, then there is no way that your router was on the 192.168.0.0 LAN. Maybe it was 169.254.144.1 or 169.254.144.254 or something within 169.254.0.0.

    -crontab -e

    >ipconfig /release

manually give your network card an ip address on that subnet ie. 192.168.254.10 and then try getting to your router.. looks like DHCP isn't set up

i'm pretty sure (although i could be wrong) that when windows can't find a dhcp server, that is automaticly gives out a 169.254.x.x addy.

    Edit: SLED beat me :Owned:

    Autoconfiguration IP Address. . . : 169.254.144.132
    Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.0.0

this looks similar to what windows gives you if it cannot find a real DHCP server [basically, it just errors out to some crap IP address and doesn't give you a gateway.]

uplink/normal tell the hub whether it will be using a crossover or normal patch cable. it's a little hard to explain. here's a stupid page: http://support.dlink.com/faq/view.asp?prod_id=801

    maybe this will help too?
