OK so I want to make a box in the back of the truck cab. Box will be sealed.
I have 3 w3v2's and I was wondering is there a major difference when subs are mounted facing down into the enclosure. Or facing out?

    :hsughno:
    Thanks

How did you plan on building the enclosure so that the subs would fire downwards? Putting feet on it like in a down-firing home sub? Anyway, the bass reinforcement would probably be nearly the same whether they are firing into the rear of the cab or into the floor. As long as you have it crossed over at 80Hz, it shouldn't affect how you hear it (location-wise), just how loud it is.

I think he means inverting the subs so that the basket is on the outside of the enclosure.

Oh, then no, it shouldn't make a difference. Just account for the change in box volume since the basket won't be displacing any volume.

Personal opinion: I've never seen an install that mounts the subs this way that I would consider tasteful. Save that for the ricers.
