Hey guys, got a strange question. This friend of mine came to me asking for help losing weight for the summer. I said no problem and put her on a diet and gave her a really basic idea of what to do when at the gym. I didnt go into too many specifics, but if she is doing what I say, she is at a calorie deficit and should be slowly losing weight. She does a good amount of cardio, and is pretty strong for a girl (squats 125 for reps, DB presses w/30's) She calls me today and complains about GAINING 20 lbs. I tell her that if she is expending more cals than she eats she will lose weight. She is eating about 1,500 cals per day, cardio everyday and weights mon/wed/fri. WTF is wrong with this picture? I need an outsiders view on this, I cant see where she would be gaining all that weight. She has been going to the gym for about 4-5 months.
