I installed photoshop 7 and like an idiot somehow selected that all my image files be associated with photoshop and its annoying to watch ps load up everytime i want to look at a pic. Anyone know how to change this, I've searched a book and gone thru the help guide and menus and have had no luck, TIA

open windows explorer, go to tools, down to folder options. Click the tab for file types and then change the associations in there.

^^ ditto, or you can just right click on an image file, go to open with, select other program, choose it, and hit the checkbox to always use that program to open that type of file.

Doesn't Xp open up IE when you double click an image by default? If so, you need to do as they say and associate .jpg with IE. Are are you talking about the picture preview in windows explorer that gives a thumbnail?
