    Hoping comp gurus can help

Alright, so I recently bought a hard drive enclosure for my old ATA hard drive. I plug it in but can only see a few files. It will show me the users but when I try to access the files within, it prompts I am restricted from viewing said files. It has XP loaded, and I'm currently running Vista. How can I view these files? Is it possible to boot XP from the external drive? Any help is appreciated. :bigthumb:

I THINK you can boot from the OS on your hard drive. Make sure it's set before your hard drive in your bios.
