I have been taking photos of some bands for fun, they don't want anything professional, just some shots to put on their site. I want to be proud of what I am doing though and make it seem I have a clue what's going on. The poblem is my picture always come out overexposed or underexposed. I have tried messing with the aperature, shutter speeds, and f stops, but don't really know a good setting for them. Anyone have sample settings that might work for a bar type area with darker lighting? I have a olympus c2100 aka oozie. My older brother gave it to me, and I really want to try using it properly.

    is there no EV scale?
is there no metering system incorporated into the camera that can guide you?
