Hey guys, I have an old 12" PB G4 from 2003 or so. It has been flawless until recently. If it's unplugged, and I close the lid to put it to sleep, it sometimes will not wake up. There is no response and the power is off. The battery has a majority of the charge left. I usually have to press the power button anywhere from 1-20+ times for it to power back on. Last week it had no problems recovering from hibernation without pressing the power button. The past couple days it hasn't worked so well. However, if I leave the screen open and it goes to sleep, it will wake up with no problem. Any ideas?

    Logic board maybe.

Try running the hardware diagnostic tests.

    Don t waste your time.

Sounds like your reed switch in your lid is pooped out and it causes the computer not to wake up. Replace reed switch in screen, fixed.
