Hey guys I have been looking into upgrading my computer for the main purpose of gaming I wanted to know what you guys thought about which would be the best mid priced mobo/cpu setup. Should I go with AMD XP or P4? This is what I had in mind, tell me what you think...

    AMD XP 2100+
    Asus A7V8X

Good mobo choice. Good CPU choice too. i wouldn't go any faster than the 2100+ right now, best price/performance ratio. Plus, the newer 333 FSB CPUs are starting to leak out, so the 2100+ should hold you over a few monthes until the 2600+ and faster start dropping price a bit. Then you can upgrade and take full advantage of the 333mhz bus.

Don't know if you need a video card, but right now, i'd go with a GF4 Ti4200 or maybe a 4400 just to hold me over until the Rad 9700 comes down to $200 or so.

thanks for the input kellyclan. yea that radian 9700 is just sick. I might just wait a couple months until prices lower so i dont have to do it again.
