I am posting here to resolve conflicting stories on wether S754 CPU's will work on S939 Motherboards

Does anyone have a TRUE answer to this? I've even read YES on OT, and NO in opther places, I have yet to try it here at the shop, i may experiment tomorrow :noes:

But im not gonna bother if OT can answer for me :)

    THanks.

:eek5: Ooo, I don't mess with Asrock stuff since I can't get it locally so I never saw that :eek5:

I'm still gonna try it, i have a semi-bad CPu that i have to send into AMD, so if it fry's it I don't care a whole lot. :x:

If the CPU is "semi-bad" to begin with, how are you going to know if it works or not? And are you not worried about fucking up the motherboard either?
