OK.. my brother in law bought parts to built a new PC and had my dad build it for him... well a couple of weeks after he had it, lightning struck the house and subsequently fried the mother board. Sent the mother board back, got a new one, and put it back in... fired up the PC, had it running, shut it down and took it to my B-I-L. fired it back up and now it won't boot and we get those blue screen errors and it won't recognize the keyboard or the mouse.... any ideas? also.. I don't remember what the errors were :hs:

If the motherboard was actually FRIED, who knows how many other components are on the edge. It could be anything.

:werd: I know when my buddy's house got hit by lightning last summer their home insurance paid for a new monitor to replace his that got fried. Maybe they would pay for a new computer? If not, I'd build a new one and just copy the files off the old drive. And buy a surge protector ;)
