what is it's main purpose going to be? even if it's not intended solely for carry, do you plan to carry it? how much do you want to spend? if you have any experience, what are some things you like/don't like in a gun? your question is too broad. need more details.

Sorry, didn't read the sticky, It will be carried in a concealed holster. Budget is Roughly 1000 bucks give or take some. I'm a newbie when it comes to handguns, I am more into the rifles and shotguns. I know I don't want a revolver.:bigthumb:

    Sig P229 Your choice 9mm, .357SIG, or 40S&W.

Small, concealable, good capacity, and accurate.

Edit: Or a Khar pistol. I've grown a liking to them.

My RAMI (purchased summer 2004) wasn't reliable in 200 rounds of break in. Some fail to feed, some fail to return to battery. The weirdest problem was that rounds would hang up in the either of the mags and wouldn't present themselves to be fed into the chamber. The rounds would stack up and jam in the mag. I got tired of trying to sort it out for carry purposes and gifted it to my son for a range-only pistol. I really wanted the RAMI to work out.
