So strange, out of the blue I try to open photoshop and get this error:

Your Adobe Photoshop user name, organization or serial number is missing or invalid. The application cannot continue and must now exit.” when you start the application.

I have tried everything to fix this issue. I followed most of the stuff here, http://photoshopnews.com/2005/07/27...-invalid-when-you-start-photoshop-cs2-mac-os/,

but still doesnt work. I have even re-installed PS. as well as the rest of CS2.

Anyone have a work around? All of my other CS2 Adobe Programs work fine.

    Please help.. thanks

    scott

is this a bootleg version or a copy from a friend? I know adobe found a way to manage 1 copy on multiple machines and kicking a person out of being able to load it.

Is this somthing brand new? I have been using this for ever now *ever since CD2 came out) with no problems at all. And why would they change just PS, as opposed to illustrater, golive, etc?

I don't think so. I just know that if one copy is found on a machine and then found on another, one of them gets booted.
