Hey all - I'm taking summer classes at my university, and I've been trying to work out, but the hours at the gym are so short that its hard to even do it. I have class from 11-4, then work 4:30-7. The gym is open 11-8 m-f. I figure I can get to the gym to work out for ~45 min after work everyday. I need to lose some fat, and gain muscle too, and I just want to feel better. Since my time is limited, is it better if I work out one muscle group a day and fit in 20-30 min of cardio, or do 2 muscle groups every other day and just do cardio on the days I don't lift? I don't like running outside b/c its horrible on my knees and I have an ankle injury from a few yrs back that makes my foot/ankle area get really swollen and painful.
