So on another forum we had a friendly DL competition. Here's my submission:

Some of the guys observed that I get the weight off the floor pretty quickly, but I lose my strength and momentum at lockout. I think that's pretty evident in the last video.

So I'm thinking that I could probably lift a good deal more if I can fix my weak spot at lockout.

What are some good ways to work on this?

Smear Vasliene/baby oil on your legs (although illegal to do in comps)

Well, I imagine that would fuck up the bar for the next guy lifting (which could be me).

I'm cool with sticking to sumo...

It works for sumo also, because the bar gets to the baby oil and slides up your legs easier

you just stopped, the weigth flew off the floor, all you had to do is sit back some and drive your hips.

I guess. I mean, at the time it feels like I'm giving it my all. Maybe I need to rethink my overall effort?

not really effort, more of just when you get to that point fuck the bar, do pullthroughs an accessory lift too.

that was not an acceptable failure; take that however you want

as far as technique, your feet were a little more straight that they should be to clear your hips with a sumo pull.

if you really find yourself failing at that point in the future do some banded pulls
