Help needed

    i have the suspicion that i have a virus on my pc, im experiencing random program crashes and things of that sort..Norton antivirus and AVG both came up with nothing. can u recommend another prog i should use to scan the drives for hard to get viruses

    Viruses don't typically cause crashes.

    What do you mean it's crashing?

    What are the symptoms?

    firefox will crash upon launch, programs wont open..then after restart it will be fine..then windows explorer will randomly crash and require reboot the next time i use the pc..its recently this is happening

    He's actually pretty good at this stuff. I think he just has hemorrhoids, but don't quote me on that.

    I've had that happen after windows updates...

    Here, try doing this for now. This may help narrow it down at least.

    Right click on my computer > left click on manage >

    on the left side, double click event viewer >

    Right click application > clear all events >

    Right click system > clear all events > close out computer management >

    Wait a while, or until it crashes again, then go back into event viewer >

    Double click both application and system and look for yellows and reds.

    Those might give you an idea of what is really going on.
