help, need the network key from my old computer

    here's the deal, i share internet connection with my neighbor that has left on a business trip for a week. he input his network key on my computer but i just got a new one and wanted to switch the wireless card over. how can i get the network key through my computer to put it into the new computer?

    i guess i could use my old one until he comes back, but i wanted to start using it already.

    I'm not sure if you can.

    AFAIK, the wireless key is encrypted. I could be mistaken though.

    Can you access his router? Is it wireless? If so what kind of wireless? What kinda of protection does it use? your missing some key details to your question
