Before you go off worrying about what HijackThis is showing you, run Ad-Aware and Spybot (and make sure they are updated) they will get rid of most of the things you don't need to worry about and shorten that list up some.

All of the ones in the BHO that say (no name), but for the SDHelper.dll, are more than likely spyware of some kind.
But first run Ad-aware and Spybot, anything after that you're not sure of to a Google search on. For Startup Items; this is a good place to go for that info http://www.windowsstartup.com/wso/index.php

oh, I was using Ad-aware and spybot, as well as spysweeper. The computer is only a week old too.... oh well, reformatted and now it is running extremely well again.

Get SpywareBlaster, it'll help keep some of the bad guys out.
