I just installed the game and am having trouble.

When I search for online servers, it won't let me see the ping. Once I join a server, I end up having 200 ping or so, but my internet is quick enough to get very low latency on other games. How do I see the ping of the server before I join?

Also, for some reason, and it's only in B2BC2, my left headphone loses about 80% of its volume. The right headphone stays the same, but it's annoying as hell. This only happens in game. When I press escape and go to the menu, the sound returns to normal.

    Please help!!

edit: This is on a computer.

Yes, I just built the computer a couple of days ago and I installed all of the drivers that came with the mobo CD

Goto the mobo website and get the latest drivers from there. Same goes with everything else really.

As for the headphones, check your volume balances and make sure your headphones are plugged in all the way.

Even if this only happens in Battlefield? Doesn't happen in any other game or in anything else.

How? I've played this game for a few hours total, so I'm not familiar with how to do anything.

Right click game, run as admin. If it's through Steam then I think it's in the properties or something, google how to run steam in admin mode if need be.

I've had to run the game in admin since it came out if I want to see the pings :greddy:

Usually the cds that come with the mobo are already old. Just update them again straight from the website. And to set it as admin, just right click on the bf2 icon, on the desktop, and go to properties then click run as admin

It's not a driver issue, it's a well documented issue with the game itself. Run it in admin and you'll be fine.

Right click on steam icon, properties, compatibility, run as admin at the bottom.

    Bam, fingers in the pussy

100-250 ping seems pretty normal. In fact, I don't think outside of a few rare occasions that I've seen anyone lower than that.

I've found that whatever your in game ping shows, cut it in half and that's about what your ping is. I have good internet and the server browser shows low pings but in game it's always about double.

I don't lag at all except for when I first join a game, usually clears up by the next map.
