I asked this twice in the other elco thread, but no responses.

Their website has these in the FAQ:

"WHAT RESOLUTION SHOULD I SET UP MY FILES AT?

WE RECOMMEND LEAVING THIS ALONE UNLESS YOU WANT TO SET IT UP TO SIZE, IN THAT CASE 254DPI, NO HIGHER!"

How do I check this in Photoshop? What res do they come off the D70s at?

Also, do I just resize the photo to 20"x30"? Isn't increasing the image size that much going to look pretty bad? Obviously I've never done this, but I want to give a couple of my photos as gifts for Christmas.

So looks like my D70s files come off at 300 pixels/inch. So I have to reduce it, then enlarge the file?

when you resize the image, make sure you have the 3 boxes at the bottom checked and you'll be fine.

  6. Don't reduce the DPI, just send it as is.

also.. a great thing about elco... If memory serves, they will run your image through an uprez program, like the plug in you can buy on FM. I just got a 24x30 print back from them and it looks fantastic.
