Alright, I have to get something nice for my bro and his new wife. I was thinking of getting them some nice wine glasses from Waterford. I was thinking something simple like the ones below? They drink red and white wine, no champagne though. Any other suggestions? I'm not really familiar with stemware companies.

Their wine drinking habit doesn't neccessarily denote that you are limited to only purchasing stemware for them.

However, as cliche as this may be, Tiffany's has some very nice stemware n their colletion, and everyone loves to get a green box. But you can also get them things like a nice sterling bottle opener, or a cheese plate and knife set, etc.

Thanks for the suggestion. I checked Tiffany's website and their stemware isn't that great. There really isn't anything that sets it apart from any other ordinary crystal glasses. I think I'm gonna go there and check it out for myself tomorrow anyway. I think I'll be torn whether to get them the nice stuff that lacks the name or the plain stuff that really only has the name. I'm leaning toward the Tiffany glasses though, just because they tend to be real brand whores sometimes.

edit: I looked at the wrong place on Tiffany's website. There's actually some pretty nice stuff on there. I'm definitely gonna have to check it out.

I love walking in the tif's on 5th avenue, and seeing all their overpriced shit.

You could get them at cool bottle opener from william sonoma...it like, opens the cork perfectly everytime

    but check out tiff's

Here's what I ended up ordering for them. Ended up costing about $170 for the pair before tax. I had no idea that there's stuff sold at Tiffany that's not actually made by them. I almost got a set of champagne flutes the same style as the wine glass I posted above, but it wasn't even the Tiffany brand, so I didn't bother.

I like the first ones better. Depends on the person you're buying them for too--and only you know. :)

Just remember, if you're ever buying them for me...

...also, they are two different kinds of glasses, to drink two different kinds of alcohols.
