help me pick a processor for my system

    trying to stay under $800..

    im having trouble picking out a processor because i dont understand the whole san diego/claw hammer/manchester/venice etc. any help is appreciated

    3700+ San Diego would put you just under the $800 mark.
    It has the bigger 1MB L2 cache and is manufactured with the cooler 90nm process.
