what is the purpose of the car. Is it just a dd, new project, and if so what are you looking to get out of it.

Out of the 4 I'd either pick the 240SX or the Celica GT. I owned a KA24DE powered Nissan for 2 years and it was simple enough. Nothing completely stupid or insane about it, was a good daily driver and responded well to basic bolt ons. I now own an 86 MR2 which has really turned me on to older Toyota's. They are like rocks, you simply cannot hurt them unless you REALLY abuse them. For reliability and availability of knowledge and aprts, I'd also recommend the Toyota.

if you like driving the twisties, get the 240. the weight balance and strong aftermarket will let you tune it to how you drive.

if you like drag racing, get the dsm. few cars can be as fast for as cheap.

I own a 95 eclispe GSX. They react very well to bolt ons, are fairly cheap to mod and the awd helps a lot with traction issues.

I vote for the 240SX. Unfortunately, it's getting difficult to find a clean S14 with a manual. S13 coupes on the other hand are tits, though a bit old now.

90s Celicas are great drivers and super reliable but also super gutless.

I think the GT with the 2.2 is pretty nice, I have a 95 myself. Don't ever get the ST.
