I'm looking for a .22 to do some fun target shooting, nothing serious competition wise, but I'd still say accuracy is my main concern...

I'm looking for bolt action as well! Suggestions? :x:

They have a lot of suggestions. Ashutz, or something like that, is a very good choice. There is another one with the initials BB, but i cant remember the name. Good luck.

    Anschutz. Expensive.

Bolt action is best for accuracy.. but I'm not sure what to suggest that's reasonable price-wise.

And if you've got the money, get an Anschutz.

Fine, I give you accuracy within, say, 80 yards.

    100 or more and it's a waste.

You evidently know nothing about competitive target shooting.

And no one said it was a long range round, target shooting doesn't always have to be at hundreds of yards. :hsugh:

uh, a properly setup 10/22 will put a ragged hole at 50yds, and still be a "fun" gun to shoot. Most customizeable platform out there.

...if you're looking at getting into competition, i'd go for the anchutz, or some other bolt. I've heard a CZ isn't too bad for the money either.

Doesn't HAVE to be bolt action, but I was thinking a .22 would need all of the power you could give it to help accuracy... I'm just looking for something cheap to shoot targets at the range... I think the savage mark II is at the top of the list right now...

For fun target shooting, you can't go wrong with a 10/22

I've had mine for 12 years, it's my absolute favorite firearm.
