don't really see rain boots on guys, so i was wondering if there is some sort of stigma against men wearing them. i'm trying to be winter ready, and need some suggestions.

mostly wearing them with jeans and occasionally suit pants.

In rubber? That mostly looks stupid if you are not hunting, fishing or in pre-school.

Buy som sturdy leather boots with soles that can take the weather. I love my R.M Williams with rubber soles. It's been raining and freezing for ages, and I have no complaints.

yea i wasnt looking specifically for rubber gum boots, but i wasnt aware of whats the current trend. living in vancouver means we get tons of rain, and supposed to get a nice dose of snow this year.

so should i just bring a change of pants to work and avoid looking like a tool?

I use a trenchcoat and a big umbrella when it pours down. The walk to campus is 25 minutes and I always stay dry.

What kind of style are you looking for?

They still sell them, but JCrew is jewish and takes their collaborations off the website when they do a site-wide coupon (i.e. right now there is a 20% off orders over $150) It ends tonight, so check tomorrow or friday and they'll be back up.

I have a pair and love them. They run pretty big though, I have 9D's and they're a bit big, I'm going to get an insole soon and hopefully they'll fit better then. I'm a 10 in nikes/vans, 9.5 in sperrys and desert boots.

Wore them through the rain and mud so far and not a single complaint, they're pretty unbelievable.

No. I walk your trough average "deep" puddles everyday. I live at the Norwegian coast. The weather is no joke. I have not been wet on my feet after I got my r.m. williams.
Trench is  but you need a umbrella. If not, you are going too look like a wet dog neck up.

Model is comfort craftsman w/rubber soles btw.

And if you are going to buy Red Wings, look at the Heritage line. They look good:cool:
