I have a SOG Flash I and although it's a good knife, it's not a very comfortable knife to hold. Although I like the functionality of the sliding button to close the blade, it eats up my finger like nobody's business. I'm looking for a similar knife with better ergonomics. Needs to have the following:

    -Assisted opening
    -Half serrated
    -Relatively small < 4" closed

I really liked this S&W Magic but the traditional closing mechanism is a deal breaker. I would much rather have a button or slider.

if you don't care about assisted open, any benchmade with axis lock would do fine.

and i deploy my benchmade faster than my assisted open kershaw, every day, all day.

  4. I find the SOG Trident to be comfortable to hold.

    no such thing.

you're thinking of the arc lock, but it's different.
