So I have the .500SW now, and a friend also wants to buy one. He offered to buy my .500 off of me so I could get the .460 if i wanted. Now I can't decide if I want to or not. Faaaaaawk. It'll be a pretty much straight across trade (I'll end up spending like $25).

Should I do it? Is the .500 > .460? Does it even matter? The ballistics of the .460 look better than the .500, and there's the added benifit of shooting the .45LC and .454cas.

    Help!

How'd you like the 500? It's on my to-buy list, but I haven't gotten to talk to anyone who has owned one.

I would go for the more versatile weapon, but I've fired none of those calibers.

I'd say that if you handload / reload then stick with the 500. If you don't, get the .460 just to take advantage of the different factory loadings.

    You need a N-frame and a K-frame.

I love it. I just wanted the 460 but couldn't find one at the place I had the gift certificats for (cabelas), so I got the 500.

I don't reload, so yeah, the extra calibers would be a pretty cool thing. Plus it's a new gun to play with :hs:

at least I have a j-frame and an X-frame :hs:

You're shooting paper so you don't really have to worry about ballistics :hsugh: Having a gun that will take 3 different rounds seems like a neat idea though :dunno:

oh I know, but I wanted to look through as many details as I could. The 3 rounds is probably the biggest seller right now.
